I Am in Training

Antonia is currently creating a new show with her company Ambitus Theatre about the life and work of the French surrealists Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore. They were the first lesbian couple to make art together and were step-sisters, lovers and life long collaborators, while Cahun was also a poet, essayist, literary critic, novelist, surrealist, symbolist, translator, comedienne, "constructor and explorer of objects", photographer and revolutionary activist.

The project is currently in the early stages of development. It has received a five-minute scratch at the Old Vic, London, as one of the short-listed productions for the HighTide Festival, and has had support from the Playground Studio to develop the show over four days, which resulted in a 20-minute scratch at the studio. A short version of the presentation can be seen here. The show is currently being created with in collaboration with Adam Barnard, Sam Booth and Vanessa-Faye Stanley with design advice from Kelly Vassie and video advice from Lucy Thane and further funding and partners are being sought.
